I was worried about getting this one due to comments about noise and crackling considering the significant quietness of this great album. Maybe I got lucky, but my copy is absolutely pristine. No unwanted noise anywhere. Not a pop, click, or crackle anywhere. It sounds fantastic with every instrument well-defined. The volume is a little low, but that's a pretty easy fix as I have a volume knob.

Good sounding release but the same problems on side B. Wheeze sound and crackles.
I had order second copy and this one is perfect.

I have both the CD and the Record. and have listened to both at the same time, switching from cd to phono on my amplifier....CD sounds much better, vinyl is flat in comparison. after the 2 song i gave up on vinyl and continued listening on CD.
        the CD sounds awesome!!!

on the first track I could hear a scratchy sound like an FM radio interferance. not happy :(

Sound quality is superb on this issue but there is a problem. I have two copies of this reprint and both have long loud crackles on B side in some places, especialy on track 9 "Pocketful of Stones". If to play these places several times by heavy weighted needle, crackles became quieter. Side A plays perfect.

What about the problem of Ludovico69 : "sssss" sound on both sides ?

There is a big big problem with my copy, it is the "deleted matrix" version. I listened to 2 copies, and this is the same problem, I hear a very annoying "sss" sound at every turn, on both sides.

I literally was blown away with how good this record sounds. Lovely package by the way.

Got this re-press some days ago. I also have the original which I bought back in 2006.
Coverwise there is alot of diffrence between the 2 editions.
Like the original LP cover was 32,7 x 32,5 cm, while the re-press is 31,5 x 31,3 cm.
The original was also in a heavy cardboard which was matte, while the re-press is
in a standard cardboard and more "glossy" type of cardboard, which also makes the
                    colour more bright.
Also the inside cover of the re-press the image is inverted compare to the original.
The innersleeve looks almost the same.
The poster is also abit diffrent between the 2 editions.
Same size and seems like same paper, but on the re-press poster the strat is white and so on.
Also on the original poster the "david gilmour" on the top looks unsharp and not very good,
while on the re-press this looks nice and sharpe.

As I am a collector I don`t listen to LP because of my hearing problems, so I can`t compare how they sound to each other.

But overrall coverwise I do like the original heavy cardboard matte cover better, since the matte cover
fits the mood of the colours and image better than the re-press.
But I do like the re-press poster better than the original, mainly because
as stated higher up that the print of "david gilmour" is alot better on it.

Just got my copy in the post. So far it sounds brilliant. Can't compare to the original pressing as I don't own it. So glad to finally have this amazing album in my collection.
