Wooow does this jam cook!! And this is the sound quality I wish all Phish recordings had!!! Huge amounts of very well separated details that result in a spectacularly deep, 3D soundstage! Mike and Jon and set back in middle and Mike’s bass seams to hang above Jon kick they are so well separated. Trey and Page’s effect are so swirling and the soundstage so wide that details are coming from further outside my mains than I’ve ever heard! So far outside, listening late at night in the state one usually listens to Phish, I had to hit mute several times to make sure I wasn’t hearing someone in the house haha! Beautifully pressed as well. Not a single noise on either side. Easy 5 stars!

My copy has a few pops, nothing major. Sounds great overall, and this Ghost is an all-timer. The last few minutes are very reminiscent of sections of Keith Jarrett’s Köln Concert and, though it hadn’t yet been written, Wilco’s “At Least That’s What You Said.” Beautiful, spellbinding music.

My copy sounds great. None of the issues others have described. Mastering sound crisp and clear. Flat. No skips or pops. Pleasantly surprised!

Been through 2 copies so far. First one had the nasty distortion during the first few minutes. Seemed to clear up after that and I did enjoy the rest of the record. I wasn't listening super critically, but it did sound pretty nice. I got a 2nd copy and it was worse. This time there was enough of a warp to also create some swooshing sound on every rotation. Ugh, I would really like a solid copy. Not sure if I should try for #3 or not.

Just here to report that not all copies have noise/tick on side one. And I love this recording. Beautiful keys by Page. Just wish both sides were longer. A lot of dead wax.

Mike Gordon is the MVP of this jam. Utterly entranced by this. I will say that there was the surface noise on this one for the first few minutes but it went away once the band got into it. Super nice bottom and well balanced

The pressing is fairly good after you get past the first 2 minutes. The first part has some static sound as others have mentioned. The mix is good. But this version of Ghost is very average in my opinion. Barely.. maybe lower... Of the 4 LP on LP, this is my least fav by far.

Beautiful mix. No background noise. I love this vinyl series. Oh yeah and great jam!

My side 2 is pretty dished and doesn’t touch the platter at all. Would keep it if it were a limited JEMP release but it’s not, so back to Amazon it goes
Top three Ghost for me of all time

It would be a 5/5 for me if the LP didn't have that static/grinchy sound in the first 3-4 minutes. The mix, mastering and overall quality of the pressing (looks very good and is very flat) is simply awesome. The best Lp on Lp of the series so far.
