Edited 7 days agoMy (new) record pops and clicks both sides, mostly at the beginning of the first tracks. When the instruments are fully playing, it becomes less distracting. I have wet cleaned the record three times. The record is also not flat, the cartridge moves up and down a bit. I have send the record back to the shop.

extremely noisy, clicking from beginning to end , never had such a bad MOV pressing before…very disappointing

MOVLP019 22.07.2024. buying.
It became one of the best albums in my collection!
great dynamics - beautiful instruments, beautiful bass playing, full and fast drums... etc. - detailed space.
silent cutting.
the
The bonus is more dynamic,... in fact, on the 2nd disc, there is a little crackle on the trumpet... you are forgiven!
I think this is a modern audiophile record...
what can 45 rpm do...?
after these it will be the next one.
in any case, I am so careful that I recorded it on analog tape....just like we did in the heroic age. 19 cm/sec Studer. -
Musically, it is a copy of M. Wilder's 50th anniversary remastering, transferred to a high-resolution digital file and obtained for this particular vinyl edition by Music On Vinyl.
The sound is warm and juicy, with minimal crackling. The edition falls somewhere in the middle of cheap and super audiophile. -
Edited one year agoAmazing sound - super dynamic, alive and authentic. Great bonus materials. A lot of pleasure from listening.
Some crackling on high notes of Miles trumpet on the record 2.
Quiet surface. The plates come in antistatic sleeves, which is always great. -
I have this version with side 1 label on both sides 1 & 2 of the album. Had to correct digit 1 to 2 with a marker. I wonder if there’s anybody else with the same issue.

Edited 7 months agoA terrific pressing for both the quality of the vinyl and the sonics. Either this or the regular MOV single disc edition is worth owning if you want an affordable version of this album that sounds amazing. The replica Columbia “6 eye” labels are well done and the gatefold both in the presentation and the tactile quality are superb! The fact that it’s cut from a high res digital transfer of the master tape shouldn’t deter given its price, unlike the flubbery sounding Mofi with it’s pretentious and impractical box.
