I don't have an older version to compare this to, but I think this pressing sounds pretty great overall. Specifically, the b side sounds great. I'd be curious about other pressings, though. This does still have that very remastered sound, older pressings could have more a little more life

Other than some reduced bass, probably due to trying to fit 20 minutes of rock music onto each side of one disc, the mastering sounds pretty accurate to what I am familiar with, and the vinyl is very quiet. The album says made in (sticker). I still think you’ll want to add some bass on your receivers tone control or play with a subwoofer enabled.

I love the reproduction of the interactive cover with the Kaleidoscope wheel and the nice poly sleeve.

I only own remasters of Zep albums and this one, like all the other ones sounds great to me. Excellent packaging and presentation and the disc is nice and flat and was, more impressively, really, really clean right out of the sleeve. I'd love to have some early pressings to compare to. Maybe in another life. EDIT: Recently picked up a NM German 1975 Physical Graffiti. Ooh lala.

Flawless. Perfectly flat pressing, no crackle or pops. Great channel separation High quality sleeve. Can't fault it.

How does this compare with the QUIEX version? I'm guessing it's inferior, but you never know

10 years later and the Jimmy Page remasters are still a point of controversy among Led Zeppelin fans. I recently picked up the remasters for the first 6 albums as I got them for a steal price, and especially as someone who does not have older pressings to compare to, I am quite pleased with them overall. Physically, some of the nicest records in my collection regarding the quality of the packaging, the 180g vinyl, the poly-lined sleeves, etc. All sound crystal clear and are dead quiet pressings.

But Led Zeppelin III here really shines. The quality of this pressing is unreal and I am completely blown away by how great it sounds, especially side B. As others have said, the separation and clarity is ridiculous. Definitely a good one to demo your sound system. Large sound stage too. I have been listening to Zeppelin for 10 years, and have always enjoyed LZIII but it was never my favourite. This pressing has given me a newfound love for the album. Again, listening to that side B stirred some kind of magic and it felt like listening to those tracks for the first time again (which with Zeppelin, is a a feeling I have not had in a LONG time!).

Really cannot go wrong with this release, especially at the going price point.

I think Jimmy Page did a very decent job. Better than my first original Dutch press which is a muddy mess at times. But I think that this album can sound a whole lot better if there is less bass, less compression and way more separation and space between the instruments. This can be much more in your face. Hoping for The Atlantic 75 series by Acoustic Sounds. Let’s see if these albums return again in audiophile quality.
