Apart from the running times as mentioned by others, it's not a bad reissue sound wise, good balance of sound, clear and not too much bass on this one, apart from the end Too Young Too Die for some reason. If you have one of those special amps that go up to 11, you know one more than 10, turn it up. Album artwork on this is very cool as well.

This is a b.s. reissue simply because the running time of the tracks is identical to those on the CD, and is therefore not remastered from the original vinyl master tapes:
When You Gonna Learn is 6'22 on the original album - 3'47 on this reissue
Too Young To Die is 10'08" on the original album - 6'04 on this reissue
If I Like It I Do It is 6'58 on the original album - 4'53 on this reissue
These running times indicate one thing: either a CD or a CD master was used for this reissue and *not* the original vinyl album masters, 'cause the running times are identical to those on the CD. It's the same with the MOV reissue: running times identical to those on the CD and not the original vinyl release.
If they'd done a proper reissue of the original 1993 vinyl album, all the running times would have been the same. Get yourself the original 1993 vinyl release or the 2000 U.K. reissue, which is the only vinyl reissue that sports the correct running times. -
Lovely art and sounds good except for the heavy inner groove distortion on Too Young To Die which is disappointing. this seems to be a common issue with this pressing

Edited 6 months agoI recently bought this 2LP Clear vinyl and I must say that the sound is excellent. Clear, many details, a deep bass and no distortion. It comes with great artwork, nice innersleeves and insert.

Edited 6 months agoSonne très bien, quelques craquement mais ça partira à l'ultrason, saturation en fin de A2 cependant. Une belle édition spéciale et un excellent album

Does this version come with a slipmat? It seems it is being sold with the same slip mat from the High Times greatest hits Vinyl. -----> https://recordstore.co.uk/collections/jamiroquai/products/emergency-on-planet-earth-30th-anniversary-clear-vinyl-2lp-slipmat

Hearing the distortion near the end of Too Young Too Die. Not a deal breaker for me - the gatefold, cover art are great, discs are flat and quiet. For me the wider presentation and separation and detail here compared to the CD I’m used to makes this worthwhile. No other vinyl releases to compare to though, since the earlier releases have the extended versions I may have to seek those out now!

Came here to check it wasn't just me, but yeah, distortion on A2 / Too Young to Die, shame, otherwise the clear discs and album look lovely.

I was really looking forward to picking this one up at my local record store but the clipping at the end of Too Young to Die was so bad I thought there was something wrong with my player. The rest of the set sounds okay, though. At least the collector's value is there depending on who you ask, the sleeve art is great and the disks themselves look pretty cool.

I will echo the majority, nothing engaging on this release, very digital sound. Overpriced and will end up on the shelf and one day traded in for something better.
