This album is great! The quality of the pressing isn't too bad. The sound could be a little deeper at times, but it's still a pleasure to listen to.

This is same metals as the MOV, same high gloss cover, sounds great, incredible album, not sure why this one didn't get more attention on release, it's up there with the early albums IMHO

It’s a bit of a comedown after TWM and has a bit of filler half way through, Destitute Illusions and Supersonic being the culprits. Repetitive and boring. Deeper Underground would have been the obvious solution but only on CD as a bonus unfortunately. I don’t know why they didn’t flesh this out and make it a double. I have the original but DU isn’t on it obviously.

Edited one month agoThis very underrated LP is one of Jamiroquai`s most funkiest & best musically the sound quality is A+ to boot. It is pressed on uber quiet 180g black vinyl, mine is also glass flat & has a well centered spindle hole. For a single disc 11 track LP the dynamics on it are off the scale even on side 2 with the added "Deeper Underground" this plays like a 45rpm - for the last track that is INCREDIBLE!
In conclusion this IS a highly recommended funk/acid jazz record & will please most owners for the minimal cost(under £30 in the u.k).
Music:5.0.
Mastering/pressing:5.0.
Inner sleeve:3(just a bog standard printed sleeve with info but no lyrics, mine is in a mofi)
Cover:4.5 gatefold which is surprising for a single disc

Cartridge:Denon DL110 HOMC
Phono Stage:Whest Audio TWO.2 class a dual mono fully balanced

Quiet pressing but please Humanity, stop to mutate your ears with mp3 conditioning ! This pressing got ZERO dynamic...
Not a specific vinyl mastering. Everything sounds the same on this version. Ashamed but I guess it's business revival vinyl. -
Edited 6 years agoGreat pressing, dead quiet (no clicks, distortion, etc.), super dynamic, not overbass mastered like cd, highly recommended.

Edited 6 years agoThis is a super quite pressing, lovely and clean. However the cartridge output is low, due to craming 30mins on side 2, and side 1 has the same pitch, so a lot of dead wax runout on side 1. So as long as you turn up the gain on your amp its fab.....
