Issued with a gold foil sticker and a barcode sticker featuring extra company logos, company credits and 'MADE IN THE EU.' statement attached to the shrink wrap.

Perfect pressing, impressive sound and mastering. Packaging is awsome. Just doing justice to this masterpiece.

The world I am coming from - being super analytic and especially suspicious of Czech GZ pressings - was surprisingly impressed with the sound stage and pressing quality. It is without question that time and money has been spent to ensure such a good pressing of these 5 discs as possible. It might have to do with the fact that the lacquers are cut by Bernie Grundman and that someone IRL oversaw the plating and pressing procedure. I have nothing but the best to say about this boxset. -
Edited one year agoMissing the first disc. I got 2 copies of disc 3.
Disc 2 has a nasty scratch during 30 seconds. Very unlucky. -
Has anyone figured out how an album that gets released at around the £135 mark is a month later being sold on large quantities 1/3 of the price? Did the distributors/shops just rely on the hype and scalped prices for pre-order then sold the last few available ones at under £50!!!?
And does anyone yet know what the number of presses is for both the US and European versions? -
sound quality is out of this world! not sure if i have ever heard a better sounding record. my copy is dead silent without any noise. packaging is stunning AF. can‘t complain about anything -
This is one of those records that makes you go “Wow, I didn’t know vinyl could sound this good!” The dynamics and especially the instrument separation are truly out of this world . I see lots of comments complaining about noise, but mine is extremely silent. The art and packaging are also next level (but also ittedly a bit of a PITA).
Don’t hesitate to buy this if you can, worth every penny in my opinion. -
Truly amazing sound coming from this pressing.
Too bad the three copies I tried were riddled with surface noise, especially disc 4. -
Edited 2 years agoTrès satisfait du son des 5 vinyles après 3 ans d'attente du dernier album de Tool, ce qui est regrettable c'est le manque de soin du fabricant du coffret qui a mis 2 inserts identiques (disque 3), donc je n'ai pas celui du disque 1; c'est peut être un détail mais à 160€ le coffret je pense que l'on peut faire attention à ce que l'on produit...

Beau coffret d'un point de vue artistique.
Concernant la musique, c'est un bon album et le mastering est très bien fait. Il est différent de la version CD sur certains points. Ces deux versions se complètes bien et permettent d'avoir deux approches différentes de l'album.
Le point le plus négatif sur cette édition est pour moi le pressage. Les disques ne sont pas silencieux et ils ne sont pas plat malgré l'usage du 180gr. Cet album aurait mérité d'être pressé par l'une des meilleures usines comme QRP.
Avis mitigé donc pour cette version.
Si vous cherchez un côté analogique et doux, prenez le LP et si vous voulez de la précision et du dynamisme, prenez le CD.
