Unlike what others said I think the bass is really nice on it and gives more life to the record. And this is coming from a guitar (not bass) player. lol
-
A bit heavy on the bass but a solid production in general. My first copy was bad. Side A was scratched and had some markings on it....unplayable. The second copy was perfect!
-
Great press but the bass is a little too loud which seems to be a problem with all of the newer Beatles presses

Edited 11 months agoI used to have a green Capitol label vintage press. I didn’t enjoy it. Sounded muddy and the fidelity seemed low. I have heard that original stereo mix always sounded like that.
This stereo remix is a breath of fresh air compared to that. Everything is cleaner and clearer. High clarity and very well balanced.
However, the bass is bloated and doesn’t sound natural. The low frequencies are boosted to a level it affects the overall dynamic range of this album. Overall, while this remix is much more crisper, there is a sterile wash over it.
Vocals are upfront and Ringo’s drum lines finally got the proper treatment (brought up in the mix to make it much more audible).
