I think this is well mastered and dynamic no pops or crackles for me! Replaced my original press I bought new as a kid ….it was a little beat up lol

Brain Johnson did an amazing job on this record. Bon might have been a better singer but Brain had big shoes to fill and boy did he do well on this album. Hells Bells is truly a hell of a song to open the album. The first bell ring gives me chills. This song has lots of other hits too. Of the ten tracks, Hells Bells, Shoot to Thrill, You Shook Me All Night Long, the title track, and Rock n’ Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution are all great tracks. The other five songs are also very underrated. The only rule for this album is to play it LOUD. This is a great pressing and I will continue to buy these AC/DC reissues. The sound and quality of these is AMAZING.

I had great luck with this one, especially after removing the paper/plastic dust from track one, just a great sounding LP remastered or not. These releases have the pics and notes to, which are cool.

Edited 2 years agoThe rumors abound. Who really wrote Back in Black? Did the lyrics go back to the legendary Bon Scott or did Brian Johnson write them himself, or many, a mixture of both? The band has claimed it was all BJ, but internet detectives claim otherwise. Regardless, Back in Black was not only a transition for the band in of its front man, but also its sound and production. Previous releases were raw, Back in Black was more polished. The songs were more focused and less hectic - songs like Whole Lotta Rosie would have no place on a record like Back in Black. Still, this is an absolute classic. The title track, You Shook Me, and Hell's Bells would all become radio staples and fan favorites. Back in Black established AC/DC's second coming and all of rock fans welcomed them.
This release sounds really, really good. I've heard this album hundreds of times and the vinyl may be my favorite presentation of it. Great clarity and punch, sounds just like it should. Hard and heavy. Every collection needs this one in it. -
A good vinyl. Mine came with some pops and crackles but nothing a good cleaning couldn't fix. Very very well mastered, one of my better vinyls for sure in of audio quality.

Edited 3 years agoOne of the Top Selling Albums in the History of The World!! Must be in the Top 5 All Time, 40 or 50 MILLION copies sold or given to friends. AND it ROCKS from start to finish!
I bought my 1st copy in 1980 when it 1st came out. I went to the El Centro Mall between Pharr & McAllen, Texas one day in 1980, bought me a new turntable in a place called The Sound (something, I've forgotten the full name of the store, but they sold audio equipment, and had LPs as a side business), so anyway, I bought me my new turntable & 2 LPs, "Back in Black" by AC/DC & TALKING HEADS '77. Their covers were COOL! Bright PINK & Jet BLACK! And both of the LPs sounded GREAT!!!!!! Especially on my NEW turntable. I was drinking beer in green bottles in those days, I thought it made me look sophisticated. The German beer was good though, if more expensive.
Anyway, back to "Back in Black", the only other Hard Rock album I ever played more than "Back in Black" was probably "Houses of The Holy" by LED ZEPPELIN. AC/DC really scored BIG with their NEW lead singer Brian Johnson, What A SCREAMER!!!!!! The band wasn't bad, either. Playing ROCK-N-ROLL to break a bone! They grow up hard in Australia. Just ask Crocodile Dundee!
I really don't Bon Scott that much. I really don't have ANY OTHER AC/DC album but this one! What could possibly TOP it?! I wore out my original copy for 35 years or so, & then I SOLD it for much more than I originally PAID for it, EVEN AFTER having enjoyed it for FREE basically for all those years. "A SOUND investment" I would say.
Nah, this will do. TURN IT UP! & LET IT ROCK!! -
No complaints. Clear. Can hear all the instruments. Don’t need the original unless I’m burning money.
-
Don’t expect audiophile quality but I mean it sounds good. If you want a copy of this album I mean we’ve all heard it so much so this will get you by. Just throw it on and turn up the volume
