Edited 2 years agoIt is a great sounding pressing similar to all Miles reissues from MOFI. Almost all the MFSL reissues of Miles Davis (regardless the source) that I heard sound as good or vastly better than orginal first US Pressing. This pressing in particular has that open tight sounding which lacks in the original stereo. That being said, I personally dig the 6-e mono slighly more, which I think has it it is own charm. I prefer Miles in Mono for all early release (50-60s) with exception to KoB, which I prefer in stereo, which again matter of taste. Overall, this is excellent remix by Mark. It does sound as good as it gets. if you want a different flavor, I highly recommend first US Mono, a clean copy might be hard to find, but will not disappoint. Otherwise, this copy should be enough

Comparing this LP with the original 1959 first press vinyl, it is clear that this remaster is digital 1/4" / 15 IPS analog master to DSD 256
Therefore it is a fake digital vinyl. -
Sounds great. There is something about the warmth of these orchestra jazz albums that are made for vinyl

Magnificent pressing. My discs played clean, very detailed sound, probably in my top 3 for the Miles MFSL reissues
