Stunning package! LP's are quite light but play very well, sound is GREAT! Superb open out cover, lovely poster.
IMO this presentation beats the official BBC issue! -
I'd like to add that I ordered my record from Tower Records online and I thought that was very cool! How much I miss Tower Records!!

Sounds good to me. I saw him a few days earlier at the Sunday night show in Roseland. Saturday night was cancelled due to throat issues. I could not do Friday night due to my budget, but that is a regret on my part looking back.
Meet Mick Rock and others that Sunday night. Iman was right next to me during the show, but I gave her space. She's stunning!! -
This Glastonbury performance was fantastic. Through decades of challenging music, we had seen Bowie go through so many ‘changes’ / evolutions: Aspiring rock star, the Berlin years, Let’s Dance, all the many one-off musical adventures including a lot of film work; and finally pre-2000 bringing him back with a collaboration with Eno for the astounding Outside project (unfortunately not becoming the intended five album millennial testament).
For me, the new millennium seemed to show us Bowie as a true artist survivor, continually recreating and pushing ahead with new music. Bowie is truly and reservedly a fierce, independent music warrior. And apparently it wasn’t just in the production room. Glastonbury represents Bowie LIVE in full force, strong-voiced, and smilingly having fun with a bit of audience banter!!!
The music selection is a wide representation of his early classics (unfortunately, not laughing Gnome, which could have been performed tongue in cheek), taking us through a vast body of work. Wild Is the Wind was a great opener, poignant, and reflective of his work and “life itself”. Other show-stoppers were Halo Spaceboy, Afraid of Americans and Let’s Dance. The latter was a surprising new take on the LD song, starting off melodically slow and picked out beautifully with Gail Ann Dorsey’s guitar work.
The Let’s Dance piece was a good example of what was best about the Glastonbury performance. AS WELL AS the music, it is wonderful to see Bowie having so much fun performing with his troop, making stellar performance look easy, despite his ission he was a bit nervous. In this Glastonbury performance Bowie displays a generous manner of being egalitarian, bringing attention to the other performers alongside him and getting on with them as friends – it’s nice to witness. They are all gifted performers, there was some wonderful guitar work, percussion and back-up singing (+ everything else which I am sure it involved).
I'm confused by the 2018 vinyl being called a “reissue” too. Because, yes, as Guellrich questions: 2018 sees the first OFFICIAL release of the Glastonbury performance on CD and vinyl (surely?) The above shows some "unofficial" releases right from the very beginning, 2000 – are they supposed to count then? I would wonder about the quality of those. [I’m not against bootlegs and unofficial releases, but I thought there was a strict definition of what constitutes a “release” – I it, I am not sure of what it is, so am presenting this as a question . . . ]. -

RE: "Format: 3 × Vinyl, LP, Reissue"
Why would this be called a reissue? It's the first official release, isn't it? -
I have no issues with my copy. Also no pops, clicks or other issues with the vinyl. The records are beautifully packaged without defect. It’s a fantastic set by Bowie and one of my favorite albums to spin. I’m really glad this was finally released (officially).

Mine came NM. No poor pressing issues whatsoever. It goes without saying the show is spectacular of course, I enjoy the mix.
-
There’s also a Japanese release of this as well. It might be this version with an OBI on itt. Basically an imported item for the Japanese market. However the box is different. I haven’t had time listen to this yet! Just got it a few days ago in the mail. It’s the 3 Disc Set, not the above numbered unofficial one.

The most uninteresting packaging I've seen in a long time. Parlophone/Warner need to hire someone from Bowie Bureau or Eat A Peach who have more visual appeal.
