Jeff Buckley – Grace

If you guys can find a clean copy for 100 I say get it, prices seem to be going up from the looks of it doesn’t seem like it’s stopping very soon

I had heard a lot about grace and had purchased it recently, which is the currently in print vinyl copy. It was so terrible that it borders on unlistenable. So I had dissed it as an overhyped album.

Then I came across this Simply Vinyl version, in NM quality and it was pricy (90 quid or so). Since the chatter around how good this record was refused to die down, I bit the bullet and bought this vinyl.

It completely changed my perception of the record! It was not only detailed, with tight base, perfect highs but it was also extremely musical! I understand that it was repressed from the original masters and is not a remastered copy.

Please do get this, it’s just an amazing sounding album! Stunning!!!

Very noisy pressing for me :( lots of hiss during the quiet songs, not going away with ultrasonic cleaning. must be a bad pressing. Hoping for another AAA reissue some time soon!

Compared to modern reissues, this is a big sonic upgrade. more detailed, more dynamic, more spacious sound. Definitely the best price option, as both 1.press and ORG are priced way over the edge. I compared with the 2015 reissue

Picked up a copy of this at the weekend, I absolutely love this album and have been disappointed with the reissues that I have come across and was on the lookout for an original press. After a trip to my local shop this was recommended by the owner and boy what an outstanding pressing this is. If you come across this don’t think twice if you have the money to pick up a clean copy you will not be disappointed.

Would someone please comment about the sound quality of this repress

it would be helpful if we could also be informed whether this was a digital or analogue transfer - obviously not just here!
