I absolutely love this album. Listening on my Marantz TT-15S1 w/ Denon 301 MKII cart, through my newly acquired Parks Audio Waxwing. My copy is flat and completely silent in low ages. Excellent sonics with detail and a stereo spread that just sucks you into the genius that is David Gilmour.

I think this album sounds amazing on our Pl-530 with an old pickering v-15 powered by a sx-850 and sg-300eq!! Super quiet no pops, full soundstage and great separation and plenty of punch, the louder the better!! Maybe it’s because of a proper setup probably not but just my guess!!!

Edited 2 years agoNOTE: Clean this item before you put the needle on play surface which you should do with all brand new records. You will be very happy what you hear.

very, very messy looking out of the sleeve. scuffs n' all. but sure enough, one wet cleaning and it's near-flawless. there's some ever so slight popping every now and then, but nothing you'd hear if you weren't listening for it.
this master though! oh my god. it's absolutely gorgeous. huge, wide, dynamics. everything shines through brightly and clearly. seriously, this record SINGS. don't miss it. the songs aren't half bad either. david can still play, ya know? -

Mine was extremely noisy out of the sleeve. Took multiple cleans to get quiet, but I still get distortion on the first track in the right channel only... Hopefully a replacement is better as the record, and mastering sound incredible!

Be ready to clean it properly. Mastering is great! But dirty lp from the box? After one cleaning a bit better, but I hear noise here and there, mostly at silent places.

My copy is amazing, one of the best pieces of vinyl I own. The whole package is great, the paper used is silken, has a wonderful texture. I am super happy with it. The sound is crystal clear without a single pop or click.

Edited 7 years agoAlbum content is great. Bad quality vinyl. Lots of background noise. Picture inner sleeve looks good but does very little to protect the record, quite the opposite. Bought it sealed, record was heavily scuffed on both sides (looks like something you'd pick up for a buck at thrift store). Sent it back for replacement - second one worse than the first one! Replaced it again - same problem. With new vinyl prices as they are now, MoFi sleeves should be mandatory for every manufacturer!
