There is the possibility that some of these albums are actually the quadraphonic version. This is from another forum, but the person seems to have some almost direct knowledge. Use it as you will:
"The 1976 US mix is actually an uncredited SQ quadraphonic mix. So if you have an old SQ decoder (or even a Dolby Pro-Logic II receiver) you can listen to Tab in quad. It's only the 1976 US mix that's in SQ, the original 1972 mix is stereo only. I got this info from a thread on an old Nektar forum from a really nice guy named Sandy who unfortunately has ed away. He was friends with the group, and the bass player told him about the quad mix." -
These 1976 US pressings from port Records are remixed versions - as indicated in the notes. But this remix is horrible in my opinion. Can't imagine why someone felt the need to ruin these songs, but it was a huge mistake. The original recordings are waaay better. I do not recommend these remixes. There are s on youtube of this remix, make sure you listen to it before buying.
