Sometimes this album sounds slightly off and then sometimes it sounds absolutely perfect. Dealers choice on this one. What I find weird is that there are no goodies inside. Just a plain white generic sleeve.

Can barely hear Jimi on some tracks, like “Purple Haze”.

Can someone help me identify if I have a misprint? I have a copy of this with mono labels but it's definitely stereo. Vocals on purple haze are hard right. It was purchased right around a year ago

I purchased this pressing from Walmart a couple of years ago. The label on the wrapper says that it is 180 grams. There are some serious problems with the original master which problems seem to be amplified by the enhanced clarity of digital playback. I searched for a long time for a good home listen of this title to replace the beat up old original vinyl I had. This 2014 pressing is so good that I spent something like an additional $15 to purchase a backup. I did the same thing with a similar Axis Bold As Love pressing. Analogue Productions has just released a vinyl product with the recent Bernie Grundman mastering. I doubt the 2022 pressing can be that much more better than this 2014 pressing. At something like over US $120 for the new Analogue pressing I don't think I can ever justify trying a comparison between this 2014 pressing and the new 2022 pressing.

This is an outstanding pressing and the recording is the best ive heard it. Yet the new 2022 UHQR AP release is supposed to destroy this? While this is near silent itself, i am highly skeptical about the UHQR vs this as a worthwhile upgrade when i can buy 10 copies of this for one UHQR as it stands and be able to enjoy the album forever rather than wearing out an overpriced copy? No doubt i will buy the UHQR out of addiction anyway!

Out originally in 1967 it was a brilliant LP that highlighted the talent of Jimi Hendrix...and this album is a rerelease put out in 2014 and pressed in Europe on 200 gram VINYL...You want to know what the music was like in the hippie era of the 60's then this is a "GO TO" album for students of music appreciation...The BIG hits are here: "Are You Experienced", Purple Haze", and "Hey Joe"...

I bought this record at Walmart for only $15.00.
It's one of the best sounding records I have. Absolutely ZERO noise of any sort.

Great sound imo, some tape hiss on silent parts (Does not bother me). Would recommend :)

I still dont understand why it says Grundman was involved on the sticker? As far as I know he only did some Mono cuts of hendrix around this time. But this is the Stereo cut by Marino, was Grundman involved somehow?
