To my ears this pressing sounds phenomenal. As I do with all new albums, I have it a good clean first. Mastering is excellent.
-
Got this in ~2008 and my copy has a bubbled-up label on side B and the whole pressing has pretty pronounced sibilance.
As a result I’ve never really loved this record even though the music is great. The highs are a little too crisp and it really comes through on the vocals. -
Great pressing! Very open and dynamic. I never owned the first press of this vinyl but won't be surprised if they are similar in of SQ (and this reissue is much more affordable.)

Like I said for Doolittle, keep in mind that this reissue probably uses the same analog master as the original pressing.
The sound here is much more defined than the MFSL SACD in my opinion. You can't go wrong with this release! -
Edited 9 years agoMy copy has not the circle U in any side, and the print colour of the pictures on the inner sleeve is dark red instead of black. The rest is identical to this version
-
My copy has the circled U in the deadwax on side one, but not side two. Side two also has 'printed in England' on the label. I assume it's actually the US version but misprinted label. Does anybody have this?
