Edited 15 days agoThe Fatboy's Old Skool mix of Wildchild's 1995 "Renegade Master" (itself a remix of A.D.O.R.'s hip hop "One For The Trouble") transformed it into a big beat dancefloor monster.
The heavy, slightly syncopated beat combined drums from two recent breaks tracks: Hal 9000's Let Me Clear My Throat".
Simple yet effective, it was the most successful version of "Renegade Master", reaching #3 in the UK singles chart - and arguably the Fatboy's finest remix. (8) -
Fatboy Slim "Old Skool Mix" mixes things up a bit and adds a nice different dynamic - but lets be honest can you really beat the original which you get on this 12" with the "Extended Original Mix" which is just timeless.
