Edited one month agoThis pressing sounded great to me but have nothing to compare to. Has all the thump from the low end I would expect for this album, I would call it on the warm side and maybe just missing a little bit of bite and clarity on the top end, but means it doesn’t get harsh at all when cranking it.

This is an incredible pressing at an affordable cost. I would not hesitate buying this one. It is as others have described. This will be a final copy of this album for me.

Edited 5 months agoAgree with everyone about how big and thick this pressing sounds. It’s heavy on the low end, which does sound ‘different’ from how these songs usually sound, but that extra bottom makes this pressing very crankable without sounding harsh. “Let Me Put My Love Into You” gets a tiny bit of distortion near the end, but that could be my copy. It’s a pretty noisy song near the end on all versions, but I did notice a tad bit of distortion. Didn’t notice any distortion on side two. All in all a great pressing that is significantly better than the 50th anniversary release - to these ears anyway.

Totally kick-ass sounding LP, big thick kicking drums, perfect guitar-tone & 3-D holographic presentation. 'Let Me Put My Love Into You' boogies so hard it beggars description. Vinyl is dead-silent as well...

Edited 2 years agoI compared this one to my other copy (1980 red and green label, by Impact Records Pressing). To my ears this copy sounds weightier, more room-filling. The other one is not too bad but I clearly prefer this copy.

Edited 5 years agoNice how WEA didn't overlook the embossed sleeve artwork, and it sounds nice.....EXCEPT.....is it me, or does this Don Mills pressing & mastering sound a bit too 'polite' in punch factor, slam and depth for AC/DC?
I know, I could be speaking entirely out of my ass, since it's been a while since I last played it (and that was before a major speaker upgrade), but although I have my sights set firmly on getting a US RL copy, I'd like fellow owners to weigh in with their opinions on this one.
