This pressing absolutely smokes. Haven't compared against anything else, but man, you might as well be sitting at the mixing board listening to this. Reference quality, and I haven't even mentioned the music yet - just a phenomenal example of the Mizell bros sound. Wonderfully lush, relaxed, funky stuff. You feel 50% cooler with this on. Incredible value for the price - highly highly recommend. -
Harlem River Drive is a great build with a nice ARP synthesizer line at the end. Some excellent tight snappy drumming on this record, in fact it’s very much that jazz funk style drumming everyone’s playing these days (2023). -
Like Jazz? Like Jazz flute? Like heavy drums?! You should probably buy this record. Somehow, it's not expensive – it's an album that should be 10x more pricey. You can play through both sides non-stop, absolutely no filler or weirdness, and that alone makes it worth the purchase. Wonderful music.
