My brother in law picked up a copy of this gem on Saturday and was lucky to find it was one of the 20 exclusive Wax Mage editions randomly inserted across the 4000 global pressing run. A very welcome bonus! I doubt it will turn up for sale here in a hurry!

Loving my press so far. So clean and quiet. These compilations never disappoint. I did notice when I got home that the hype sticker mentioned that Wax Mage snuck some of their pressings in there. 20 out of 4,000 didn't give me great odds though. Alas, I was not one of the lucky ones. Did anyone out there get the Wax Mage variants? I'd love to see them.

These soul slab comps always deliver. This is no exception. Not only is it a great mix of artists , the press is made with such care and love.
-
Perhaps the most diverse Soul Slabs yet. Everything from Disco (“Witchoo” by Durand Jones & The Indications) to Doo-Wop (“Cry Baby Cry” by The Splendids) to Gospel (“Hold Your Head Up” by The Harlem Gospel Travelers).
A nice reminder of just how many great new talents have entered the soul scene since the last volume released in 2021. -
Similar to another comment here, I bought this on impulse but also because I've been having a hard time finding great soul compilations to dip my toes into. This sounds so great. For sure going to be picking up the other volumes.

I bought this on a pure impulse whim and am so glad that I did. Old school soul, well recorded and arranged. The instrumentals that pepper the comp are a welcome bonus. Highly recommended if you see it out there.
