I recently got it on sales for 56€, but wow the pressing is just plain bad.I can't imagine how disapponted must have been the early buyers at full price. I should have looked for review first. The cd remaster is good on the other hand, and the boxset is rather qualitative but man the vinyle records sucks

Edited 4 months agoThis is the Muse album that I listened to the most during my afternoons studying for high school, so many memories.
bought on amazon on sale for €83, arrived in perfect condition.
The discs are flat, silent and clean, the book and the packaging are of excellent workmanship. I'm not sure that this remastering is the best possible ever, but what matters now is having this incredible record in my collection. -
Is there anyone who has received a copy that has no seam splits? In my case, all three inner sleeves have seam splits of approx. 5 cm in length and I'm just wondering whether this isn't a general problem with this pressing. Of course it's totally annoying that the cheap cardboard sleeves can't be removed but are firmly bound into the book. %)

am I the only one who thinks the sound quality is very muddy on this? I paid the heftier price based on reviews of all other recent reissues and figured this was worth it since it was essentially the same price as the original pressing (only version with good reviews), but also comes with extra anniversary content. not sure if what I'm hearing is the same as those 2015 pressings, but this doesn't sound that good to me. I'm thinking of returning

Anybody here can weigh in on the actual remaster on 2xLP? Standard Absolution represses sound muddy and underwhelming at best, and I wanted to know if there was any improvement over dynamics and soundstage-wise? Thanks!

really well put together box set! gorgeous presentation and rich, full sound from the vinyl. it's definitely overpriced for what you're getting (three records, two CDs and a book) but as a remaster it does its job very well. would recommend for the diehards, more casual fans would probably be well off just getting this -> Muse - Absolution

I personally really like the remaster for the digital release. Was looking forward to the vinyl but this is a very steep price and frankly the extra tracks really aren't that great. The Absolution Tour DVD contains better live versions for most of the extra's on here.
The acapella's and demo's are nice I guess but not something I will put on a lot. I would have much preferred if they included the b-sides from the era, and for €150 I think that should have been a no-brainer. €150! -
DO NOT BUY! I was excited to get a better sounding pressing on vinyl. NOT the case. This is pure and utter garbage. Unless you want to EQ the snot out of this (to get it to sound half as good as streaming), this isn't the record to buy. I bought it for the vinyl... haven't dug into the extras yet... not sure what would it need to include to make me less upset. It looks cool... so there's something nice.

Disappointed with the extra content, after watching the absolution documentary, I wanted to hear Apocalypse Please with strings and the Sing For Absolution instrumental that had more grit than the final.
I gather the 30th will have all the content we wanted. -
Terrible for the price. Subpar quality, contents are lacking, and the "unreleased songs" were all just live versions.
Really dropped the ball. Other bands give way more content for the insane price
