Thin sounding at bits, but still a clean pressing nonetheless.

Agree with some of the positive and negative comments:
      Positive:
+ Flat pressing - although feels a bit light weighted for 180g in my hands.
+ Quiet - no surface noise heard.
      Negative:
      - Bright and thin - lost my first release LP long time ago, but can't it being so bright. Changed up hifi many times since then, so maybe better equipment highlights this.

Coloured vinyl has come a long way but could the clear pressing be at fault? Although I do have clear vinyl LP's from other artists which sound amazing!

JP & LZ - enigmatic as ever they were.

Music is 10/10 but this pressing is definitely a colder, bright listen with thin low end.

It's an excellent pressing of an album that never sounded amazing, at least as far as I've heard. My copy was extremely quiet, and the clear vinyl is sweet. Sounds as great as the album can. Amazing album, though

On the bright side but clean. You could do a lot worse for a late pressing of this classic. If you don't want to lay out cash, why not? Nice version.

              I like it.
The thing never sounded particularly great no matter what press, but this really shines on the subtler tracks like Battle of Evermore and Going to California.
Nice depth on Roberts voice on those.
The harp on Levee is a scorcher as well.
JPJ’s bass on 4 Sticks grabbed my attention too.
Like I said, I’ve had copies from multiple decades, and none of them left me floored.
Worth a pick up if you want a nice clean one.

Do we have to wait until Jimmy dies before we get proper AAA versions of the catalogue on vinyl?

My copy sounds just as good as the recently remastered issue and it does not sound like shit as the guy below me has stated. Just crank it up and enjoy.

That version sounds like shit, but so does every other version of that album. I'd say it's just a bit better than the original, but overall everything is so muddy and compressed, you wouldn't even notice.
It's really a shame since this is some of the best music ever recorded. I don't know why they let Jimmy Page produce anything, he's clearly not a qualified sound engineer.
Compared to records that came out around the same time (Aqualung;Who's Next;L.A. Woman) this is really disappointing, and there's no way to fix it.

Just picked up a copy of this and it sounds pretty good! Love that crystal clear and Atlantic label. Looks and sounds pretty good. My only complaint is that the low end is very lacking. That seems to be the norm on digital represses anymore. But, it's super quiet and looks gorgeous. 8/10 pressing.
