Both copies I picked up had to be returned.
The first copy had severe surface noise issues on both sides. Especially with an album that's this dynamic, it really is noticeable. Also, both copy's B-sides were off-centre, which of course leads to fluctuations in pitch. The first copy I picked up was as good as flat. The second one was quite warped on the other hand, not benefiting the sound quality.
Note, I bought both albums in brick-and-motar stores in the same town. Maybe a bad batch and some bad luck for me.
Anyways, I'm keeping my eyes (and ears) out for a new, silent and centered copy. Hopefully y'all have better luck! -
Great packaging, sadly my copy came with debris from the manufacturer in the sleeve of disk 1 scratching the hell out of Concorde. Hopefully getting a return and replacement.

Good pressing. Mine is perfectly flat. I had a lot of pops and clicks the start of side A but the rest of the record sounds great. Had to turn up my speakers a ton though!! Overall, very good pickup.

Edited 2 months agoDecent press. Shame about the piece of debris on the B side that seemed to have happened during pressing. The stylus runs over the equivalent of a speedbump every second or so on the reprise of Up Song. Pretty surprised QC never caught that.
-
Good pressing, not perfectly flat and a little surface noise as many have reported.
I was fortunate to catch them live at one the last shows of their Spring ‘24 US tour. Live is the best way to hear them -

Been thru 3 of these...all warped and 2 with audible scratches...I'll keep the warped one even though it's warped the most. Like FFS go to a decent pressing plant!

Edited one year agoThere a very few pops, mostly on B side, probably som tiny scratches, but record is very very quite. I'm glad I got it, it sounds awesome and it's unlike anything I have in my collection.
-
Sounds quite good nothing exceptional but my copy is slightly warped. The factories need to make an effort on quality control these days
-
If you're interested I would recommend picking this up soon. The band has said that it was never supposed to be released as an album, so I wouldn't be shocked if this is the only pressing. Had a few pops, sounded good though. I was expecting the sound quality to be worse considering the time restrictions on LP, but overall it's fine.
