Packaging is pretty basic, but I do love the larger font lyrics. The CD is mastered by Bob Ludwig, so it sounds good. Nice soundstage, separation and mix. I do not have any remorse for buying the CD instead of the vinyl, whereas if I was buying Neil Young’s Harvest, I’d be pretty bummed if I got CD instead of vinyl. I actually prefer Radiohead/Thom Yorke/The Smile releases on CD, the music deserves a straight uninterrupted flow and it usually sounds great in that format.

This reminds me of The Tears in that it's two core of a classic British group going off and doing music that is logical expansion of group 1's sound, while adding enough new sounds to feel like a new band. The Tears allowed Bernard Butler and Brett Anderson to make wall of sound style music that was much happier than Suede's work, whilst The Smile allow Thom and Jonny to go in a further krautrock -and sometimes mathy - direction than Radiohead would've allowed (possibly). Love it.

Does it sounds better on CD this álbum? I heard this on vinyl and i'm not that convinced of vinyl mix, feels really muffed
