Stunning record, amazing soundstage, dynamics and very quiet. If you like a mastering with great bass balance and volume, with crispy treble's, you have to buy this record.

Je vois qu'une édition limitée vient de sortir à la Fnac, en . Double LP orange avec une horrible pochette style PVC.
Le vinyle est splendide mais la pochette est une honte...
Le mastering a l'air identique

I can only agree with the positive reviews. Absolutely perfect pressing. Above all, the sound is finally decent hi-fi. No exaggerated bass, no scratchy and distorted highs. The mids are also very well balanced. This makes listening to vinyl fun.

Mindblowing pressing. Impeccably balanced sound, no surface noise and perfectly detailed. The packaging is also really nice.

Edited one year agoBought this one yesterday in a record store in Paris. Had to bother the guy in the store to open the record and do a test play of C1 😂 Sounded perfect, however. So it seems not all pressings have these issues stated below.

My LP has exactly that issues they thay mentioned(also with that sticker), distorted trumpet (which i could get over it) but completely unlistenable "Sure Thing" makes this reissue useless. Actually once I've had simple eliptical stylus I didn't hear it, but I've changed stylus recently on Shibata and I was in schock what a crap i this reissue.

My copy is absolutely magic. After an initial ultrasonic clean this is super vinyl quiet. Black background! The tunes and mastering are also increredible! Sounds as good as any all analogue Blue Note record I own! Massive soundstage both wide and deep! 10/10

I finally gave in and ordered a copy from Europe and I'm so glad I did. Mastering, press quality, and packaging are all top notch. A mighty fine reissue of an essential classic.
