Edited 5 years agoExcellent sound & good mastering without any distortion on Sure Thing or any other tracks. Sounds just as good as the first french press. You can safely buy.

Edited 8 years agoI've never noticed before today but my version has the disc 2 side A label incorrectly also on disc 1 side A. Everything else normal. Anyone else seen this?

It's steady, rhythmic canvas is painted over with brush strokes of colourful sounds - melodies and vocals from an eccletic paintbox of old, modern and postmodern musical styles - you have them all - the blues, jazz, techno, Latin, African, funk, rock, hip-hop…
It’s soothing. It’s invigorating. It’s conversational. It’s like waking up knowing you can have the day anyway you want it. It’s like going to bed knowing you did!
I love it!

More jazz-infused downtempo brilliance from St Germain. For house DJs we have the sultry tones of Rouse Rouge, remixed repeatedly since its release, or the instrumental brilliance of So Flute and Pont Des Arts. For the chill out party Montego Bay Spleen provides downtempo trip hop beats, Land Of... Mr Scruff tinted riffs, and you can finally out twiddling your toes to What You Think About...

from promo flyer:
After a five-year layoff from recording, Ludovic Navarre, alias St Germain, is back with a new album, Tourist, on the prestigious jazz label Blue Note.
About this project, released on 05.05.00, St Germain offers only a few details: "There will only be four purely house tracks. The whole record will be a continuation of my work, with machines and musicians, live and sampled sounds." Guest artist include guitarist Ernest Ranglin and percussionist Idrissa Diop.
Blending jazz with deep house grooves and acid jazz breaks, you only have to listen to this album once to realise that St Germain's music transcends fashions and trends. This is the summer chill-out album of 2000.
