Still can’t quite get my head around a die cut cover to a plain white sleeve reveal. Sure I saw an initial mock-up with little dials and buttons. Either a missed opportunity to create a really cool package or something went wrong.

Edited 4 years agoClean pressing and well balanced mastering, comparing though to the 7" singles that were released it is missing a bit of the "air", the " breath", and warmness overall (surely the medium and speed/mastering affect sonics but I do have LPs that have the same "air" and "breath" that I am describing.) The singles have more of the "Blue Note" sound. Also would have preferred a different inner sleeve for each of the records - they are both the same and list the same info. Some pictures would have been nice. Also there's the misprint of the tracklisting on the back sleeve (B4 should be C1) which is corrected in the discogs listing. I was expecting something slightly better in of presentation, considering it is an iconic label famed for its sleeves and art and we pay a fair amount for it. I do appreciate the fact though that the covid-19 crisis has caused problems in the workflow of almost everyone. Music is interesting and great, perfect for smoothing out the winter of lockdowns ahead of us. 1st track stands out as composition/remake, mix, sound, everything, to my ears.
