One of my favorite records of all time, and I discovered it by chance. Just the right amount of funk and jazz, with a sometimes esoteric twist. Brought me down the rabbit whole of Yussef Dayes and Kamaal Williams, with so many of their other releases on constant rotation as well. Highly recommend this album, an absolute classic. I hope they duo again.

Got mine for 25$ def worth it! Could it be better with gatefold nice sleeve and better mastering ? Sure …BUT it’s still great especially for the price point

Wow. One of my top albums ever! What a phenomenal listen! Yussef is really In the pocket, and it’s beautiful mastering. My pressing has some pops and clicks but it definitely worth.

Everyone criticizing the mastering needs to shut the F up and listen to the music. Even if the mastering isn’t flawless, sit back and listen to one of the greatest albums of our generation, and respect the music for its brilliance. I’ve listened to this vinyl at least 60 times and never once thought it was poorly mastered, although it’s probably because I was too busy enjoying the masterpiece that is the music.

Decent pressing quality. It is a shame that the mastering of this album is lacking that live studio recording soundstage in stereo, like the others have commented. The performance is superb and its a shame not to preserve this masterpiece with mastering that matches the level of this amazing artistry. Maybe one day, there will be a MoFi Original Master Recording release. I know, its wishful thinking but hey, one can dream and I am sure I am not the only one. Meanwhile, this vinyl release will be suffice at the interim until a better vinyl release with much improved mastering. Having said that, I would still buy this vinyl.

Note: side A is the logo side with the 3 tracks.

Can someone comment on the difference in pressing between the original and repress? Is the sound quality the same?
Or are they both really just CD masters put on vinyl?

Track 3 OH MY GOD...this should be a tribute to Led Zeppelin's No Quarter!
Mad drummer inside! Listen at own risk!
Own the Vinyl and digital both not bad recordings though somewhat garage sounding...maybe on purpose! This is just simply awesome and timely!

Sublime, modern day jazz funk, with so much buoyant energy. I have found, it is the ideal soundtrack to play while I am cleaning the oven with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. This is because it is so motivating.
