Metallica – Load

Does the artwork actually have all those vertical "grill lines" going through it like in the picture? It doesn't seem like it's just an issue with the scan, because the upper and bottom portions with the Metallica logo and the album title don't seem to be affected by it.

This seems to be the pressing I have, but the artwork on my copy just looks clear and normal, like any other pressing, with no vertical "grill lines" running through it like that. Is it possible I have another pressing not listed here on Discogs? I checked them all, and this one seems to be exactly the same as mine, except for the issue with the artwork, and the fact that mine doesn't have the hype sticker on the case (which could have been removed by the previous owner before I bought it).

The quality between this and the blackened pressing is pretty even and identical. I CAN tell you this, they are both waaay better than the Europe 96 pressing, but nowhere near the US 96 pressing. My 4xLP boxset is pretty good as well, but who wants to flip a record after 1-2 track?

I’m by no means a Metallica head but I think this is a very underrated album IMO. More heavy rock than heavy metal but I think this works at this stage in their career.

$150???? Omg I shoulda bought one when I had the chance. This is the only walmart one I need... might even be willing to trade my silver beyond magnetic for it.

I bought this for pretty cheap 10+ years ago, I think around the time of the Rhino Load/Reload LP re-issues. This original was cheaper, so. Few seemed to care. I don't how it compares to my now-gone original CD, but a nice pressing by George Marino (RIP), who cut/mastered Master of Puppets, if I right.

bought mine yesterday record 1 is slightly warped still plays fine record 2 is flat the only weird issue is side 2 has a side 4 label it was also dirty ish with some vinyl particles in the record 1 sleeve and a weird piece hanging from the record... after a ultrasonic clean its beautiful...

A huge departure from their usual stuff, but actually a damn fine record after a few spins. I think it has 2 or 3 too many songs on it, but I'm not sure why it gets so much hate.

Just received my copy, made sure it was this version, based on these reviews. And it did not disappoint:
Absolutely amazing pressing, Audiophile level: I have Analogue Pressing LPs that don’t sound nearly as good as this.

Just run to it with your eyes closed, but do make sure you wash it before spinning.

I bought my copy somewhere in 2017 and still spinning occasionally. Very nice pressing, no skips, no pops!
