Celtic Frost – Into The Pandemonium

Very nice-sounding remaster (much better EQ, compared to the original NOISE CD mastering from 1987), but unfortunately sourced from a partially damaged tape. You can hear some sound issues (sometimes occurring fluctuating frequency spectrum on one channel), audible especially with headphones.

I am very happy with this release, although i got the original noise pressing from far beyond.... The extra songs are worth to be listened - the more or less spoken "tristesse de la lune" give this album a slight stranger touch (what it already have). "Chapel in the Moonlight" is fascinating.
The remastering put things more into place. For example, the strings by "mesmerized" are more into the foreground... are more unearthly or haunting! Never had listened to a remaster, that sounds so fresh, as nearly new to my ears... or without dust.
Disc 2 is badly warped, but does not annoy the listening pleasure.

In my Opinion this is the best, what Celtic Frost produced in the 80ties.

Sounds absolutely fantastic. Comes in nice packaging, and the gold vinyl is a nice touch. Highly recommended!

anyone else copy transparent when held up to a light?

Just an FYI for anyone looking to buy a copy....the 1987 UK release did NOT come with a printed inner sleeve with Noise releases as pictured and described on this release page. It came with a generic paper inner.
Looking at the picture of the printed inner, this was released in 1987 yet has Dimension Hatross by Voivod on it (1988). Don't be fooled, it did not come with a printed inner only a single sided lyric insert

A perfect remaster: mix, clarity, dynamics, etc. My only gripe is they should have gone 24-bit, and preferably 96kHz.

Excellent press in of sound. Red logo colour is unfamiliar, but fine and bloody looking. Recommendable version from Combat.

Lots of background noise, not too obvious during the music but still there. However, good dynamics overall.

Great packaging and excellent sound stage. This album is often dismissed by fans and critics alike but this LP was ahead of its time in many ways. I recommend all of Celtic Frosts reissued work especially if you’re new to this innovative group of outsiders or not.

The absolute peak of Celtic Frost. Self produced...and what a job they made.
Owned this copy since 1987...been played on very good systems...however..if you haven't a top notch turntable-take the record to a hi-fi store and ask to hear it on their best system. You will be blown away....3D avant-garde metal,the male/female vocal exchanges on Rex Irae are incredible+the strings aren't harsh at full volume,the synth drums on One in their Pride are huge.
Genial production on such a heavy album.
