Edited 2 years agoHonestly, I cannot undestand why this pressing has bad reviews. Maybe a few bad copies?? I bought it from amazon. After doing a first deep cleaning, I listened the entire album, having in my mind all the bad reviews (terrible sound on Teen Spirit, Polly, Something in the way) and I have to say that I'm a lucky man. None of those tracks sounds terrible. All 12 tracks sounds outstanding. Never listened to Pallas pressing, but I just want to, only to know if there is any difference. If Pallas sounds better than this, it must be heaven. -
Mix does not sound that bad, but i expected more from this classic album. As someone mentioned in a review bellow mine: it seem that the record was not remastered form original analog tapes. -

Not from the analog mastertapes - for sure.
I guss it’s mastered from a digital sorce.

Some songs (In Bloom, Come as you are, Breed, Territorial Pissings, Drain You, On a plain for example) sound better than others. And a few of them sound terrible (Teen Spirit, Polly, Something in the way (especially this one)). I like the solid, thick outer sleeve and presence of the original design of the inner (I'm just a little bit disappointed, that it's paper). Overall, this pressing is OK at last, but maybe I just got a bad copy (I don't have any other pressing to compare).

Utter class and a meaty full sound from a great pressing - a must for any record collection. -
Edited 5 years agoGreat pressing, happy to add this to my collection. Late 1991: REM 'Out of Time', RH 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik', Metallica 'Black Album' and this. I spent two months in Baltimore at the time, and those four albums take me there and then! This music was all over the place, and MTV was playing their video clips 24/7.

Great pressing, great sound, very natural. No compression, no surface noise, not a single pop. Awesome reissue of a masterpiece. -
Glad to hear reissues are being dine right still. Record companies need to realize loudness and over compression kills the listening experience.

Both are non-remastered. Both same Sound, non-boosted, very natural.
Both are written mastered by Howie Weinberg at masterdisk. ( A real treat of a sound this morning, awesome ). /
000003TABX3 Incesticide - DGCD-24504 DGC (1992) CD Non-Boosted type, very natural, no comparison but non-remaster type of sound and for sure.
