*When play testing, my stylus has a tracking force of 1.5grams.
**I do not use the Mint (unless sealed), and I do not use NM (unless I was the one to open the item myself). VG+ is the highest grade I will use for vinyl, though I may note EX in the comments to emphasize it's condition. A VG record should be a nice player, not perfect, but nothing nasty, some light surface noise that does not rival the music and is not a constant. To me, I would of course prefer a VG+ or better record myself, but most of my collection and what I don't mind listening to, I consider VG. I'm not talking about repetitive ticks/clicks/pops for an extended period, but a couple light ones occasionally, or some very low level surface noise at a softer intro, that sort of thing. I do not consider myself an audiophile, just someone who enjoys listening to records. I consume it casually, not dedicatedly, I think both are acceptable. VG+ should be nearly perfect, surface noise should be very minimal, limited to something faint between tracks/lead in, nothing that disrupts the music. I don't prescribe to it being CD format silent. 95% of new vinyl I have purchased in the last several years typically out of the packaging and a quick clean, I still consider VG+ in sound.
Notes: If an item came in a custom inner sleeve or with additional inserts, unless noted specifically, it should not be expected that they are present. Custom inner sleeves are often present and will be included when they are, but if this is crucial to your purchase, please message to confirm prior to purchase. I often don't know whether an album came with any particular goodies, so I don't generally specify. Markings/Writing/Notes on jacket Graded VG+ and lower are usually not mentioned (NM/Mint is expected to have no such markings), except when I feel they are truly distracting, ie; name/initials on front cover. Large sharpie, stickers, etc.. Name written tastefully on back cover or small notes on back cover are often not mentioned on VG+ or lower, if it's a deal breaker for your purchase, message me and I can .
I try to grade something how I would like to receive it. It's frustrating that buying online, generally speaking, feels comparable to going to the Dentist. Instead of being excited for a gift in your mail box, it feels like first I must interrogate it, and see how badly the seller missed the grading. The anticipation of a purchase is more often met with the dread of disappointment. I know how that feels as a buyer. My goal when grading and selling is to avoid that feeling for a perspective buyer. Sometimes I miss the mark though, as much I may try to avoid it, mistakes do happen. I think an honest mistake versus someone trying to make some fast cash can be spotted a mile away. If I do make a mistake, understand it was just purely a mistake, and I'm always willing to communicate and cooperate, just reach out!
All albums are visually graded unless otherwise noted. All albums cleaned prior to grading.
Albums shipped in plastic inner sleeve, outside of jacket, in outer plastic sleeve. Except for sealed LP's. I can open and ship outside if requested. Singles shipped in New paper sleeve.
Shipped typically within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
I'm not here to make a fast buck, I'm in it for the long haul, my goal is customer satisfaction. I'm not here to take advantage of anyone, or to be taken advantage of. There are a lot shady sellers in this hobby now, my goal is to be above that, and earn your repeat business. Any questions, issues, or photos, please don't hesitate to reach out.
