Excellent repress!
Big sound, full and dynamic.
I notched up the bass a bit, because I’m like that.
Dialed in, a fantastic version.

This is as good as all the positive reviews say. A great pressing that is super quiet with spot-on dynamics for the era—on a gloriously heavyweight 180g. Sounds as good as it feels! A go-to record that never fails to put a smile on the dial.

Edited 2 years agoSo, I just got this exact version but there’s no included. And no sticker on outer plastic wrap. Runouts and other ID info is otherwise identical. Anybody know what’s up with that? Otherwise awesome pressing—Peter’s bass on ultaviolence sounds so sweet!

This is much better than the other RHINO releases, sounds silent, punchy, and well mixed. Excellent copy

sounds fine. the inner black lp sleeve is a bit thin for the weight/size of the 180g lp itself (180g lps are a bit over-rated, in my opinion) and will most likely split at the seams.

This popped up again at a record store in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, brand new. Nice to finally have a clean, amazing sounding pressing to replace my crackly OG with. This is beyond superb! Quiet, clear, dynamic. Best version I've ever had in my collection.

Agree with other comments: this is an excellent re-issue/repress. I have the original and this one is faithful. Pressing quality is excellent. The only place that they show evidence of "cost reduction" is that the outer sleeve lacks the cut-out the original had...

Edited 6 years agoThis pressing sounds good. The vinyl is pretty quiet. It needs to be cranked up for full enjoyment-- thus are the dynamics of The New Order on this LP. Very faithful to the original in every detail. Recommended if you don't want to shell out big $$ for an original.
