This album has aged well. I used to get made fun of a bit by my grunge friends who were starting to get into industrial and nu metal at around this time because they thought it was cheesy and Jacob Dylan was just trying to ride his dad's coat tails. But I digress...
This sounds quite good. It's full and dynamic with a decent amount of punch. The vocals sound good and there's good separation.
If you're like me and you used to (maybe secretly) love this album, or if it's new to you and you want to own it, I don't think you'd regret snagging this press -
Edited 5 months agoPunchy and dynamic enough. Glad they spread this over two discs. Would have been worthy of a gatefold though along with full lyric sheet. Alittle underdone for anniversary release and alittle more effort in the packaging would have made this a 5 star release!!

Mine was horribly warped but it plays ok. QC is pathetic these days !
I agree ...
The sound is very good!
The recording volume is quite low...
The album presentation is very simple...
I vote for you to have it! -
I never got around to listening to this one in 1996 other than the two hits and I'm pleasantly surprised by the album as a whole. Great easy rock songs to tap your feet along to. I know now, I probably ed on this one because it wasn't the Seattle grunge scene. Oh well my tastes have mellowed and broadened alot since then and this style is just fine by me. Quie clean sounding vinyl here with no warpage and decent bass. Had to exchange my first copy however because it came with two copies of album one. Oh well those are the breaks. If I had to describe the sound it would be Springsteen doing a country or Mellencamp album without Clarence on the sax of course. And that's not a slight, Bruce and Johnny have put out some pretty good stuff.

The 2023 pressing is a new cut and deserves it's own entry. It has a much larger deadwax area on all sides and the hype sticker is a noticeably darker shade of bronze.

Finally, one of the best 90's albums on LP Format.
If you are a fan of the Wallflowers, you should have this LP edition in your collection.
The anniversary edition sounds incredible. It is worth a try this edition. The sound is amazing and very clean -
this is as good as it gets. a great album with great quality sound at a reasonable price. if you like the wallflowers, do not hesitate.

I was late to the party on this one but managed to find a sealed copy for a good price. It sounds terrific.

My new copy came slightly warped, it doesn't seem to affect the quality much from what I can tell. Guaranteed a weight would help if needed or trying to flatten it would work. Pretty clean in general, not the most silent, but nice warm sound signature. This is such a classic and it sounds awesome on vinyl. Happy to have it in my collection.
