While I wasn't let down by Ghost's 2nd album, Infestissumam, the way some lovers of their debut (like myself) were, I felt like this release was an incredible rebound. While not trying to copy the first album, they pretty much took what made their first and second albums great and made this album. I stand by their first being Ghost's best album, but this one is very close and on the right day I might pick this one as my favorite. -
Ghost was and still remains to be a neat group of aesthetic and fresh air in metal. They're not amazing, but they do as good of a job as they can. Meliora is maybe one of their better records and well worth a listen.
