Notes
This 2015 2 LP 200-gram vinyl edition of Amused To Death features remastered audio completed by longtime Roger Waters / Pink Floyd collaborator and co-producer, James Guthrie, and has been pressed at Quality Record Pressings. The cover and gatefold art has been updated for 2015 by Sean Evans, the creative director of Waters' 2010-2013 "The Wall Live" tour and movie.
Preceding this new mastering, the original audio has been newly mixed, once again by James Guthrie.
Details about the new mix is listed in the Notes of the Master Release. Below is an example:
In addition to the original recording, part of the deactivation scene of HAL 9000 in Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" has been added in the beginning of "Perfect Sense, Part I" :
"Stop Dave..
Will you stop Dave?
Stop Dave..
I'm afraid..
I'm afraid, Dave.
Dave, my mind is going.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
My mind is going.
There is no question about it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I'm a... fraid.
Good afternoon, gentlemen.
I am a HAL 9000 computer."
Runout notes:
TML-M is stamped on all 4 sides, everything else is etched.

Considering the price and all that is said on the hype sticker, Im very dissapointed. Pops and clicks throughout both records, audible through all quiet ages and between tracks.

According to Superdeluxeedion.com this is a Sony European edition, where the only real difference is the lower quality record jacket, and lower price. Still pressed at AP. Personally, I don't necessarily need a very high quality jacket for an extra $30 CAD. This release sounds awesome, though I don't have a different version to compare it to. High quality pressing though. I'd highly recommend for any Roger Waters fans.

Didn't care for the re-worked version of "The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range." Much prefer the original, un-bastardized cut. Sure hope AP uses the o.g. for their 45 version. Fingers-crossed!

Just got this new. Sounds awesome. Great vinyl. Only issue is the AP version I have has the thick cardboard gatefold and lps are hard to put back in, a bit of a pain actually.

this really sounds amazing. ordered mine from AS and no noise or popping, very clean. pick this up if you have the chance.

Less then 1000 per stamper, limited says sticker. Here 4437 people have this LP. Someone is lying 🤥 😁

I absolutely love the 1992 release ( I own it) and I see now Acoustic sounds is taking pre-orders for a 45RPM 4LP set, again mixed with James Guthrie. I dont mind James Guthrie but I believe Bernie Grundman is 'The Man'. I'm undecided to get another copy. My 1992 pressing is pretty quiet.

I didn't have a chance to listen to the original pressing, but Analogue Productions did a great job.
I can't think of a better pressing than this, but this is Roger Waters we are talking about.
Anything possible :)
