Enjoyable double live LP from Supertramp's 1979 world tour stop in Paris. Most but not all of their hits are present, and performances tend to adhere fairly closely to the studio versions. This pressing features excellent sound, at times you forget it's a live recording. My copy has some paper scuffs, but the vinyl plays very quiet and clean, with no noticeable surface noise.

Excellent mastering. Much better than the digital versions. Quiet pressing as well and an excellent concert. Definitely a must have.

Many people like live albums because of the alternate performances of hit songs. And while I like to hear the new ideas that a band has to offer in a live performance as well, I also like and respect a band that can sound as in the studio ("Wow! It sounds as on the record!"). That's what I like the most from this terrific live album by Supertramp. Not only is the live document of the band at its peak, but an awesome recording of an incredibly polished band. Bob Siebenberg is one of the most elegant drummers in rock/pop music, and the whole band is a very well-oiled machine. And, contrary to many other live albums, this one has very few overdubs. It's Supertramp at its best, and that's enough to consider "Paris" an essential live album.
