This is just a shit pressing to be honest. Very dull sound, no bass (I have a shure M-44..). I can't enjoy this. -
Obviously one of the greates records ever made, unfortunately the sound on this pressing is terrible. Production was never good anyway, but this record is not very enjoyable due to its flat sound. Yes, I like my rock and roll dirty and distorted but this is just a mess. Very unfortunate as the songs are pure gold.

I don’t get the hate. Phenomenal, landmark album and a great, heavy solid pressing with some great visuals and packaging. What more could you want? Sure, a little muddy and dirty, but when was Oasis not? This is stellar. -
If you're talking about an audiophile experience, this is not the album / pressing for you. If you just enjoy the music, the Gallagher Brothers, and some crunchy metal music, then sure, go ahead. The mastering aint great, but I still love the album and play mine frequently.

Edited 8 months agomy copy is missing the 2nd LP or disc. I only have the first disc. If you have a 2nd disc to sell or need the 1st disc please msg me !! -
Don't be fooled: the first pressing of this album on CD and vinyl (Creation Records) still sounds the best !
All other versions are heavily over-compressed and over-EQed.
And even those are not perfect but much better than the other versions.

My copy rolls nicely. I believe the record has been recorded exactly this way just like other artists did with theirs (U2 i.e.)..... -
I went by people's reviews on here, and seeing how mixed they were I bought the album to see how it would sound on my system since I own an album that has issues but sounds amazing on my system.
I'm convinced they took the compressed copy on Spotify and pressed it onto vinyl.
The copy I had was extremely disappointing. While the drums and acoustics in the sounds sounded nice, everything else sounded muffled, especially towards the end of Champagne Supernova.
After doing some EQing myself I got the same result cookman70 got. It's a little better, but still not worth it (except Some Might Say which sounded GOOD after EQing).
Honestly, this is the first time I've been disappointed like this with a vinyl purchase, I returned the album from where I bought it.
I can not recommend this pressing.
