my copy matches the closest to this one but not exactly. my copy has IMP SUB etched in the runouts. anyone know what this means? tks. -
Purchased new in Atlanta when it came out in 1987, as I have the original CD as well, I haven't listened to this on vinyl in many years. After a wet clean, I was blown away by how great this pressing is. Almost no surface noise, very few clicks, but the dynamics are wonderful. Nice top end, full bass, and just an all around great version of this album. If you find a NM or M don't hesitate to add it to your collection.

Side A matches variant 15 (PAL 40599-1B G2 DMM Precision D10), but I can't find a matching runout that matches Side B. Looking for the following: PBL 40599-1C G4 DMM PrecisionJ B21. Any help would be appreciated! Btw, Learning to Fly, The Dogs of War, and a New Machine are all worth the price! -
For me "The Dogs Of War" is worth price of ission! The rest is added bonus. Especially side 1- but side 2 is also solid.

Mine has "For Promotion Only......" stamped on the upper portion of the bar code. DMM G2 variant. -
The USA Pink Floyd "Momentary LP" has the same Pictures on all 4 issues of the album but small differences when it comes to the colour on the print itself.

1st issue is a "normal" one. The One as in this listing from XIANWING (1ST PRESS) Orange Flame/No Black Border
2nd issue the picture is more UN sharpened and has a black border around it, plus a blue flame instead of the orange one and the PF sign in the top is green/orange instead of blue/orange.
3rd issue the sky has a green tint.
4th issue the front picture is the same as 1st issue, but the labels on this one is red Columbia labels instead of the regular picture labels.
All as I understand Are Gate-folds -
Does this version not come in Gatefold? My deadwax matches up but this listing does not mention gatefold like the other one does. -
"On the Turning Away" One of the Best Floyd songs ever written. Deeply Profound.
That alone makes this album worth buying on vinyl..
I do not understand why critics buried this album. IMO, it's a grand Masterpiece
