Edited one month agoThis is as close as I can get to my copy.Side 1:BGBS-0864-6E A2M,Side 2:BGBS-0864-4E A2AA.

Edited one year agoIs this the first pressing? I read everywhere that the June 16, 1972 issue is the first one. How is it possible that this pressing is from June 6?

I have compared the 6E/4E (this exact variant). With two copies of the 1E/1E and a copy of the green international POUNDA version. This one wins, clearly. It’s a slightly louder cut, but has much more dynamism to it. And it is still best played loud. Magnificent.

The 6E/4E hype is real. Incredible, crisp, bright, punchy mastering. Best I’ve heard Ziggy Stardust ever sound.
-
I have 4 different pressings of this my fav record the and the 6E/4E press is the best sounding of the 4 including the highly coveted MFSL audiophile pressing which is very very good and more money. the other two pressings are a mint in shrink unplayed 1975 usa pressing which is "ok" at best and the early 80s numbered picture disc which I have never ever listened to lol actually the 6E/4E is some of the best analog I have experienced ever

Edited 2 years agoI still love my 1E pressing, but the 6E sures it. This has a better soundstage and is more dynamic.

This pressing blew my mind. Perfectly mastered. Sound rolls out of my large Advents like it was meant to be!!! There's alot going on that you don't hear on the reissues.
-
IMO, this pressing easily beats out the UK 1st pressing as well as those leading up to this reissue.
More dynamic and alive, solid bass and greater overall presentation.
