Edited one month agoHaving a separate release for the 'Qadpuss' release is nonsensical - it should be included with 'Close To Me' in my opinion.
This specific release is part of the 1985 'Close To Me' release cycle in the U.K. It does bear a Fic 23 catalogue number variant after all.
The North American market did something different with 'Close To Me / A Night Like This' and I believe this release should at least be separated for that reason.
Notice too that the Elektra 7" releases bear a later catalogue number than that of Quadpus. This suggests a completely different release schedule and strategy in that market.
