Edited one year agoOriginal UK Pressing, sounds different from the compilation and is over-saturated on the instruments- here you have a more raw recording as Ferry's vocals distort, but there is more detail with Eno's synth and Phil's guitar (But this is probably the limitations of the medium as many 7 inch singles don't sound too good, especially ones which are a half century old by this point). Regardless, it is a banger, wish it was on their second album because it is just that good, much like Virginia Plain...
The B-side is exceptionally good much like 'The Numberer' or 'For Your Pleasure', an excellent gateway into Eno's ambient career -
