Edited one month agoHI there
I have this Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, stamped, variant 1): MERS 005 B // 2 ∇ 420 R 2
with grey Label (mercury) Side 1 & 2
I have not seen this combination in current marketplace on Discogs

I just got in my green vinyl pressing and it is noisy right through the runouts so I do think there is a surface or vinyl noise issue. Seems like upper mid range on up is white noise hash. Ugliest vinyl lp I ever played. Seems worse for Side 1 but present on both sides. Ran this through my VPI record cleaner, still there.... When needle lifys at the end, the silence is so much better

Edited 2 years agoMasterpiece - simple. The new "as it should of sounded" mix on 14th October 2022 release should be interesting if not a smoke-screen for more money spinning; cynical that I am in this "vinyl repressed to death" industry does that....a lot...

Hi, can anyone help . I have a version of this record with matrix A//5 420 R side one. B//3 420 W side 2.
suggesting each side was cut at 2 different plants . This version does not appear to be listed.
