I asked Ian Levine about his remixes on this record, and he said that he did create them in stereo, so the fact that they turned up in mono on the release is a mastering error by the record company. He also mentioned that his versions were the first-ever remixes (that he knows of) which contained more than 50% additional production by the remixer—a notable milestone in the industry, at the time.
