Fantastic album; beautiful music but what a crappy mastering/pressing; a complete disaster -
He signed a copy of this for me after a show in Milwaukee. What a great performer, I saw him twice, each time he gave it his all. -
Man that background vocal on the title track sounds a lot like Bono. I recall seeing an oldish (date, sorry?) clip where Bono name drops Charles. Any possibility to him being on this record? -
What an album!!! I come from reggae but this one is truly deep!!! Bring me the creeps if it's not the tears. Killer!!!! Each track is a pure beauty

Edited 2 months agoClassic soul funk LP! This LP is a big leap from Charles's debut album, with tougher, stronger funkier tracks throughout... The Side A line up is predominately midtempo soul with the exception of the slowy 'Victim Of Love' + the great funky instrumental 'Dusty Blue' with soulful hammond work. Side B 'Confusion' has a Curtis Mayfield guitar riff quality to it ('If Its Hell Below...'), with 'Where Do We Go From Here?', 'Hurricane', making highlight tracks with 'Love Bug Blues'. Highly highly Recommended - Tough soul funk LP that flows all the way - a legendary LP for the future. 9/10
