The description of the cover is wrong.
Watt is driving 55 "on the dime" which is slang for exactly.
He is driving on the Harbor Freeway towards San Pedro on highway 11(now the 110) not the 10.
It took more than one to get the San Pedro (hwy 11) sign in the frame. -
Nothing I can add that hasn't been said before as far as the music on this epic masterpiece goes but I will say that this is the second part of the greatest punk / indy rock 1-2 punch in recorded history, never to be beaten.

Hate to be that guy, but this original issue blows away the modern reissues of this. I've had a bunch of problems with the reissues having bad sides, or sounding muffled and muddy. This original press is pristine and sounds really great.

I bought this on day of release and it’s one of my favorites. The funk influence makes this record groove. BTW, my copy has a 7” EP as well. Anybody else have that included?

Edited one year agoIn part I bought this double lp based on the fact they did (if memory serves) a 0:38 version of Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love... I mean really, if you could boil down 80's hard rock in a nutshell (mid stream a-la 1984) this concisely...then I had to know. The whole record didn't disappoint even for a second. I feel truly lucky to have "come of age" at this time. Minutemen were and are an inspiration to me.
On a vinyl note, the fact that my copy was pressed somewhat askew on one side (it became noticeable at the end of that side by being a bit "pitch shifty") really made me cherish my copy more. It was a bit more personal. Vive D. Boon. -
The 'Trout Mask Replica' of the eighties.
Also love the obvious reference to Kraftwerk's Autobahn back sleeve. -

is there any way to tell an original press from a reissue if it's sealed? i have an early sealed pressing, but am struggling to determine if it's a true first press.....any help?
