I got two CD versions of this splendid masterpiece of doom metal, one is “Serenades + extra tracks” But the second variant is a Double CD containing on CD 1 the full tracklist of Serenades and on the 2nd CD the Crestfallen full set.
I reckon it might be probably an unofficial release yet it looks like a legit Peaceville, MusicForNations CD.

What is it about that Hammy-Mags-Academy sound from this time period? It's so unique and distinctive. I always investigate bands where the album review references The Peaceville Three or 'that early 90s death/doom sound' but nothing can recreate the sound and vibe of records like this. Even if the exact same equipment in the same studio was to be used, I doubt it could be recreated. It's almost as if time itself has had an impact on the music.
