So nobody gone mention one of the greatest producer Rhythm D made two dopest tracks from EP? iring the underground scene with all the private hits produced by the same names from higher levels.

Edited 5 years agomy colored is quiet as can be and they sound phenomenal, and i work with audio for a living. i know the difference. Some folks might want to upgrade the source

8 tracks.....1 was an intro, 1 was just another remix to the same song that has been played over and over up to that point, 4 that made you want to punch someone in the mouth, 1 that made you wanna get some pussy asap, and the last one that made you want to go on that cosmic journey high.....one of my all time favs name one album with only 8 tracks worth the price of ission? Theres none!!

Edited 6 years agoEazy-E's return fire to Dre's Chronic, this EP takes the Cali G-Funk sound to a darker, albeit less serious place. E's gassbag whine blends well with Rhythm D & 187's production - the hydraulic drums, throbbing bass, stanky chords and serpentine portamento synths are G-Funk in it's most concentrated form.
As far as lyrics go Eazy is as one-dimensional as always, but it must be noted that Eric brings much more venom here than Andre did in diss-shots - the digs thrown on this EP are some of the best ever recorded! If you aren't already familiar with Dre's somewhat hushed-up pre-NWA career - before the good doctor traded sequins for cess - you will be after giving this one a listen.
With tight, flowing production and a place of its own in Hip Hop history, It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa (the full title really sucks) is an absolute essential for any collector of the G-Funk and West Coast styles... now we just need a reissue!

You lot are trippin', name an artist who came with a solo album/other project that trumped their collaborations with Dre? Sorry but both Eazy and Cube's breakaway albums are poor by comparrison, but if your earwax can't determine the difference... All this does is 80% re-use what Dre already did & try to make it look fresh, while Eazy beefs on him. I love classic Hip-Hop & Rap, hell I was there, but this is not Eazy's best by a long shot & I get earache just trying to listen to it... Not musically great at all, more a fall from grace, & if you knew the events, perhaps a part of the reason his life ended soon after...

This EP is the shit! I mean, I aint against dre or anything but everyone knows that this is a goddamn classic! "Real Muthaphuckkin G's" nails the album right from tha start and the other songs just continue the flow. Sad that the 12" is so expensive, maybe this needs to be reissued on vinyl!
