Edited one month agoThe songs are wonderful. I dig the disco vibe and strong bass and percussion. However, the balance seems off. I don’t have or know the original pressing, but I would’ve liked a much more forward, rich string and horn sound from the orchestra. Her early record, The Astrud Gilberto Album from ’65 has the lush, rich orchestra sound I was hoping for. Curious to know how this compares to the original.

To me, this was one of the sleeper hits of RSD 2025. Not too much hype around this release, but it sounds great! It’s just a fun record…

Such a fun album, great clarity, nice amount of richness and bass. The balance is fantastic with the voices and instruments. A nice thickness, not the flimsy colored vinyls we sometimes get. Perfect to listen to on a sunny Spring Sunday afternoon type of vibes!
