Banned for sale or not, this is an outstanding pressing of the amazing Pornography. I bought this in about 2015 as an upgrade or replacement of my Australian 1982 copy which always felt substandard with surface noise and some sibilance. When I opened it for the first time I looked at the centre label and wondered what the hell this release was. On my first listen though I was impressed. This version is flat and quiet and has such a wonderful depth. 100 years seems to have been remastered to bring Roberts guitar to the fore during the chorus. Not sure how you would go about buying a copy of this version, but it is certainly worth seeking out.

This is an official release. As to the quality of sound, I have 3 versions of this album: original 1982, this one, and the 2016 remastered one. I have to say this one sounds the best, but that is just my personal opinion. The newest remastered one doesn't sound as good as the original if you ask me.

I have this vinyl signed by Robert, Simon and Laurence. Sound is OK, but isn't the point is this item.

Why is it blocked by Discogs? According to Vinyl Loves/Lillith it is licenced along with their other Cure releases which are not blocked.
It is mastered from CD though but unfortunately there never has been a great sounding version of this album. -
Edited 9 years agoWhy is it blocked by Discogs, when it is available in Bertus, Netherlands - Europe's biggest music distributor?
